Gadling has a fascinating story about two men who may or may not have survived an unbelievable ordeal.

The story is this –

Two men from Myanmar were rescued this weekend from a refrigerator. They claim to have survived 25 days at sea living only off rain water, and (no, I’m not making this up) bird vomit.

The men were supposedly on a Thai fishing boat off the northern coast of Australia. It was deemed pointless to search for survivors from the boat because the water conditions in the area are both filled with sharks and incredibly stormy.

The problem with their story is that one of the young men does not seem to have been affected by such a long journey at sea. he has no evidence of sun exposure, and only good hydration would have kept them alive for that long. The icebox also shows no sign of saltwater damage – which would be virtually impossible.

So it’s an interesting tale – but who knows if there’s any truth to it or not. If there IS no truth to it – what the hell were these guys doing in a refrigerator in the ocean?
