Recently the TSA enacted new rules in regards to photo IDs. What it means is, simply, that you have to present a photo ID when going through security at the Airport. There has been a lot of talk about it online – a lot of negative talk, and I have to say I don’t get it.

When I think about this I wonder, “Why haven’t they always wanted to see an ID to confirm who you are?” I mean, you can’t walk into a convenience store to buy a pack of cigarettes without having to flash an ID, so why is it such a big deal to show your ID when you’re getting on a plane?

I think it basically boils down to the fact that people are sick and tired of being treated like criminals by the airlines. Sure, they’re “trying” to keep us safe as we travel – but we all know that there are times when the people getting paid by the TSA don’t give a crap about their jobs…and when that happens, none of these security measures matter.

When you’re in line, though, remember that the TSA employees that DO care about their work are only doing their jobs…and give them a break, ok?
