It’s A Wonderful Life is one of the all-time holiday classics. It is a staple of Christmas in our house, and always will be.

It turns out that there is an “It’s a Wonderful Life” Festival in Seneca Falls, New York that might be a perfect travel destination for hardcore fans of days gone by. Seneca Falls is the town that Bedford Falls (the town in the movie) was based on. For the last 62 years they have had an annual Festival celebrating the film.

You can see a screening of the movie narrated by Karolyn Grimes (ZuZu in the movie) and many other holiday themed events during the festival. There is a Santa-train, horse drawn wagon rides, and – of course – plenty of “It’s a Wonderful Life” themed merchandise.

You can find more information about the festival right here. The festival runs from Dec. 12-14.
