Well, we’ve gotten sad but used to the checked baggage fees airlines have been charging within the U.S., but it looks like we’re about to get hit on the international end as well.
American Airlines will be charging $50 per checked bag each way on all of their international flights, so if you weren’t packing light before, it’s high time you started.
According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, after the airlines initiated the checked baggage fees within the States, they collected $566.3 million which they will not soon forget and will now see much more with international fares. Ahh, we miss the old days.
