Next week I’ll be away from the computer quite a bit as a I head off to Macworld 2009 in San Francisco, CA. The even takes place in the downtown area at the Moscone Center.

What’s great about the trip is that there is quite a bit located around the event. A few movie theaters, a fantastic mall, and a variety of eateries and pubs. Everything is reachable on foot, and there is very little need in spending money on taxis or public transportation.

I’ll only need to use a taxi once, and the BART system twice while I’m there, there rest of the time I’ll be on foot – and it’ll give me a chance to try out my handy iPhone 3G CPS with walking directions for the first time.

It will end up being a mind bogglingly tiring trip, and when I get back on Thursday I’ll be completely wiped out, but it’ll be a blast, and covering Macworld is a lot of fun.

I got a great deal from Orbitz on the trip, and I’m hoping to record quite a bit of video while I’m there – hopefully I’ll get some good content for Travelbrook as well as Apple Gazette, our Apple themed sister blog that I devote most of my time to.
