The economic down turn is hurting travel agency Expedia. Their third-quarter profits fell 4.8 percent as customers decided to stay home in this fumbling economy.
“Yes, it’s a difficult environment, but that’s everyone’s news,” Chief Executive Officer Dara Khosrowshahi said in a statement. “Any predictions about its depth or duration would be foolish,” he said of the decline.
They do expect flgihts to increase in 2009, but revenue from car rentals and hotel rooms are expected to drop. You can find out more from SeattlePI
