A Survey released on Wednesday by Orbtiz suggests that the Denver International Airport may be less busy than other airports during this year’s Thanksgiving holiday.
It is expected to be the 9th busiest domestic airport during the Thanksgiving travel blitz, which is down substantially from it’s 3rd place rank in 2007.
This is, of course, based only on Orbitz travel bookings, but it may be a good indicator of where to plan your layovers if you’re looking for a less crowded location, and you have the option.
I’ve been to the DIA and I have to say, it’s a nice airport. Very small, but nice. I stopped over in Denver while trekking to Macworld last year, and it was a nice stop. So if you can stop off in Denver, it might be a good idea.
