Now Canadians on top of US citizens are being warned against visiting a city in norther Mexico that recently has seen a rising level of violence.
Ottawa is warning its citizens from visiting the border city of Ciudad Juarez unless it is aboslutely essential. With the deaths of an American couple with ties to the local US consulate, Ottawa is worried that more violence would ensue if you decide to visit the border town.
The Foreign Affairs warns Canadians of visiting, citing “escalating violence linked to drug trafficking.”
“Travellers are advised to reconsider their need to travel to Ciudad Juarez and should only do so if it is absolutely necessary,” the website reads.
I guess there goes our border trip then, huh?
